Moonletters is a living romance.
A body of work born from desire, grief, blooming and return. A quiet corner of the internet for women (and those who love them) to come in close, exhale, and remember the beauty in the real, the raw and the holy ordinary.
I write from the ache, from the altar, from the middle of folding the washing. From motherhood and the body, from love and longing, from the places where one version of us is ending and another is beginning.
I’m Jessi, a poet, storyteller, photographer, song weaver and mother living by the ocean on the east coast of Australia. My work moves between writing, philosophy, faith and spirituality, photography, voice, music, ritual and the everyday mysteries of being alive.
Moonletters will be slow. It will change shape with me. Some things will arrive as essays or letters; others as poems, photographs, audio, meditations, conversations, glimpses into the books and creations taking shape, or something I didn’t know I was making until it arrived.
I want this to be a place where the work can breathe. A place to explore the inner and outer worlds of womanhood, motherhood, creativity, cycles, desire, grief, becoming and return, without needing to package every experience into something immediately useful.
There will be things I share freely, and things that belong in the deeper rooms of Moonletters. There will be offerings from the bodies of work I’ve already made, and transmissions from whatever is alive in the moment.
Most of all, this is a space I return to first for myself.
To write. To listen. To remember. To make.
And if something I leave here finds another woman in the middle of her own becoming, then that feels like the real exchange.
